(Written in response to what one Professor Bayo Ajibade Lawal of Faculty of Nursing, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, did in 17th November, 2021, in his harassment of a Muslim woman in Niqaab who happens to be a student in the Faculty).
Alhamdulilaah that we have erudite Deen-conscious Professors, PhD-holders, medical doctors, engineers, lawyers, pharmacists, entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners, educators, school proprietors, agricultural experts, IT experts, etc whose wives are graciously and proudly niqaabis not to talk of thousands of wives of Talakawas like myself.
(I intentionally left out the wives of scholars of Deen; for the obvious reason).
So if you hate and fight the Niqaab you are in for a war-without-an-end, for sure you cannot win. You will always be sad, and that sadness can cause your death, if Allaah wills.
Do you know that there are hundreds of our Muslim sisters, old and young, making up their mind to pick up the niqaab as we are speaking? Can you see that you are in for a long thing?
Hope you will throw in the towel, with a good intention though, and stop fighting the niqaab because it is a battle you can never win, Inshaa Allaah.
