Ash-Shaykh Rabee' Al-Madkhalee - may Allaah preserve him - said:

"As long as there is a conflict between the truth and falsehood, and between guidance and misguidance, and between the people of truth and the people of falsehood, and between the people of guidance and the people of misguidance; there is no alternative to drawing the sword of Jarh wa Ta'deel (criticism to distinguish between those who are trustworthy regarding the religious knowledge and those who are not) and they (the people of falsehood) are more dangerous than the people of narrations and more deserving of being subjected to critique than the early narrators who made mistake logically and by the Shari'ah."
