Thursday 13-Dec-2018, 11:51PM / 1485

Anas b. Maalik - radiyallaahu anhu - reported from the Messenger of Allaah - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam - that he said:

من غسل يوم الجمعة واغتسل، وبكر وابتكر، ومشى ولم يركب ودنا من الإمام، واستمع ولم يلغ، كان له بكل خطوة أجر سنة: صيامها وقيامها

'Whoever washes himself on the day of Jum'ah, and takes a bath (due to intercourse), sets out very early making it an habit, walks (on feet) and does not ride (on anything), sits very close to the Imaam, listens attentively and does not make a foul speech; he will have with every step (he makes to the Jum'ah) a reward of a year: in terms of its fasting and standing in prayer.'

Recorded by Ahmad, An-Nasaa'ee, at-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah, Ibn Khuzaymah, and al-Baghawee. Ash-Shaykh Mash'hoor Hasan Aal Salmaan said it is Saheeh. See al-Qaul al-Mubeen p.337.
