Bismillaah-ir-Rahmaan-ir-Raheem
Allaah the Mighty said He sent the Messenger of Allaah - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam - with Manifest Signs in a Book - the Qur'aan - which he will read unto the people and purify them with.
There is no doubt that the Qur'aan is a great tool to purify the soul with. In fact, it is the Source.
Ibn Abbaas - radiyallaahu anhu - said: Allaah has promised that whoever follows the Qur'aan will not stray in this world and will not become wretched in the world to come.
Ibn Qayyim - rahmatullaah alayhi - said: The Qur'aan is the complete cure from all kinds of heart and physical ailment, so also tree sickness of the world and the one to come.
The Qur'aan being referred to here is the one intently recited and pondered over.
Alfudayl bn Iyaad - rahmatullaah alahyi - said: The Qur'aan was revealed to be acted with but people took its recital a vocation.
