Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem
A akh reminded us of it today
That was the kunya before Nikaah
When we were really harakis
And we became 'Abu Zaynab' after she came
Then it was 'Abu Zaynabal'Mujaahidah'
Jihaad was still there
But it was mainly of pen
Years as an editor on 'Area Council' board
Then in the 'An-Nur Press'of our Alma Mater
Where we wrote and wrote
We wrote and saved selves from the blindness of Hizbiyyah
We wrote a and some took us a foe
Till this day they see us as a villain
And when more kids came
And were daughters!
We became 'Abulbanaat'
- 'Father of Daughters'
'Abu Zaynab' was still there
And when we met our teacher in Ibadan - home city
We adopted 'Abu Sa'd'
We were expecting a S'ad
But it was another Bint
So 'Abulbanaat' became entrenched the more
And when we arrived in Ede
The City of Salafiyyah
Aamir came
Alhamdulillah
Nothing stopped 'Aboo Aamir' from coming
But our Ikhwah preferred 'Abu Zaynab'
But when we progressed we chose 'Aboo Aamir'
And added 'Al-Atharee'
To show we are not hizbee by the Will of Allaah
So that's why
If you call him 'Abu Zaynab'
No problem
'Abulbanaat' is acceptable
A brother calls him 'Abu Sa'd' still
And he answers
And this morning
He was called 'Abu Mujaahid'
He was happy and felt like crying
He still 'Abu Mujaahid'
But without the Jihaadi connotations
But save him from many faces
Call him
'Aboo Aamir Al-Atharee'
If you add 'Al-Ibadaanee'
You did not transgress.
