Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
Aboo Hurairah - radiyallaahu anhu - reported from the Messenger of Allaah - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam - that he said:

إذا قلت لصاحبك يوم الجمعة، أنصت، والإمام يخطب فقد لغوت
'When you say to your comrade on the of Jumu'ah: 'be silent,' while the Imaam is making his speech, you have made a foul speech.
Recorded by Al-Bukharee and Muslim.

Talking while the Imaam is giving his speech takes away the reward and recompense of Jumu'ah.

An-Nadr b. Shumail said: 'The meaning of 'foul speech' is 'you have lost the reward.' Some said: You have lost the honour of your Jumu'ah. Some others said: 'Your Jumu'ah becomes Zhuhr.'

Aboo Hurairah - radiyallaahu anhu - also reported that the Messenger of Allaah - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam - was delivering a Khutbah on the day of Jumu'ah when Aboo Dharr said to Ubayy b. Ka'b - may Allaah be pleased with both: 'When was this Soorah revealed? The latter did not answer. After the prayer, Ubayy said to him: 'You have no reward of your Salaah except the foul speech you made.' Aboo Dharr then went to the Prophet - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam - to inform him and the latter said: 'Ubayy spoke the truth.'
