The Implosion and Commotion in the Camp of Jabtawiyyah

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Beneficent the Most Merciful

Al-Mualee bn Ziyaad said it was said to al-Hasan al-Basree (rahimahuLlaah): ‘A khaarijee has appeared at al-Khuraybah!’ He said: ‘What a miskeen; he saw a wrongdoing and he forbade from it but later fell into what was worse. [Ash-Sharee’ah p.38]

The implosion in the group of Muhammad Alee Jabata is no more news. It was and is real. Every sensible learner of the Deen upon the correct Manhaj would have known that it was long overdue. A collection of khawaarij would hardly befriend one another for long; they must smite one another’s neck on the long run. Why would not they? Are they not people of my-thought-is-better-than-yours?

‘None will go above board in the Deen except that it will overpower him.’

If you would be told; that was the Second Implosion. Muhammad Alee Jabata (as he would like to be referred to) did lose some followership in the early years of his thoughts in Ilorin; that was 2005 or thereabouts. It was a very serious setback such that he had to go ‘solo’ for years before reappearing at Ibadan and Oyo some five years ago. We are very sure those who hosted him at Ibadan and Oyo are regretting now.

The First Implosion did give out some people who today are well respected in the mainstream Sunnah – the Sunnah devoid of wanton Takfeer and Tabdee with the vilest of expressions known on earth. The desertation was massive.

This Second Implosion however is very bleak. The students to be given out this time around seem to be permanently dented with Jabata worm such that one may doubt what medication will be better for them.

The vituperations of people like Alase (or is it ‘Alasin’? No pun intended), Alata, Ash-Shifaaul-Haqq, etc., have to be curtailed. The bombshells they have been releasing of recent may not be necessary. Good, they have left the evil thought, let them concentrate on knowledge quest. And they have to be sincere in their repentance. By Allaah, they corrupted the land. Reports of the havoc they wreak in Oyo character-wise are enough as a publication. But our Lord is oft-forgiving.

Those of them who are opportune to use the mimbar should not desecrate the Mimbar of Sunnah with wanton jar’h and foul words. Agreed, the people of Bid’ah are to be chastised seriously, yet it has to be constructive and well-placed. Grooming this generation of Muslims (many of whom are yet to learn the recitation of the Qur’aan) on jar’h and ta’deel, as if it is the Sixth Pillar of the Deen, will spell doom for all of us except Allaah wills. The implosion in the camp of Jabtawees is a living example.

Let your sermons instill fear of Allaah, love of Islam and its ethos in the people.

And they should stop the Takfeer. If you claim Jabata is ex-communicating Muslims from Islam, do not replicate that to him.

Muhammad Alee Jabata remains a Muslim only that he harbours dangerous thoughts that must be warned about. He is indeed a great corrupter of the Manhaj of Sunnah; no mincing of words.

So make this Implosion to be meaningful. Do not make it seem you are forming something more dangerous than what Jabata is upon. Yes, some of you made such statements such as, ‘We reject what Jabata is upon from A-Z,’ this is not enough, let your action show it.

And you have to go on the path of knowledge. Your invectives of recent showed you are far away from the Islamic ethics. There are certain things that can only be learnt by the feet of the pious scholars. Please find them here or outside and learn from them. If you can keep quiet for a while the better.

Finally for you, stop saying ‘Allaahu so pe, Allaahu ko sanu wa...’ If you continue using that you still retain a very powerful indication of Jabata thoughts. We are not saying the expression is wrong, no. But if something is known with some people of bid’ah, it becomes imperative that the people of Sunnah avoid it. An example, a Muslim can wear a black turban but when it becomes the insignia of miscreants hiding under the Deen, like the Shiahs, he must avoid it. The Jabatas believe ‘Allaah’ cannot be rendered into any meaning, that it must be used the way it is, ‘Allaah.’ However the people of Sunnah believe ‘Allaah’ is not a concrete name [Ism Jaamid] that has no meaning, it is derivative [mushtaqq]. Its meaning is ‘He is Who possesses the divinity’ this goes in tandem with the meaning of ‘Olohun’ in Yoruba Language. No Yoruba person will mistake 'Olohun' for any being other than the Creator of heaven and earth and all what they contain. Hausas refer to Him as 'Ubangiji' while the Igbos, 'Chineke.'

As for Oga Agba, Jabata, the muhaddith of the fools. Don’t you think the time has come for you to stop misleading these innocent folks? You yourself know that you heap a lot of lies in establishing your thoughts. How many times have you been asked about what you said and you start blabbing and twisting?

Let us give you an example.

You would recall that you were once asked if constant observance of salat duhaa is Bid’ah, as you claim, that what would you say about the authentic hadith which says ‘none will guard over duhaa except a person that loves to turn to Allaah’? Can you recall your reponse?

When are you going to repent from sending Muslims to hell because of acts you allege of them to be Bid’ah? Can’t you just sit down and ponder, ‘What is wrong with me?’ ‘Am I really on the right cause?’

Who are the Salaf saying all these things I say? Who among the scholars of the time share my thoughts? Am I really qualified to make independent judgements about Islam?

Could you imagine what could have been going on in the hearts of Alase and-co since all these years regarding the lies you have been feeding them with? They had been doubtful of you from day one but they were not bold enough to confront you. They cannot take them again.

Do you know how Baba Ibeji, that boy with an ex-convict tag on his head, will be feeling now? We learnt he is still loyal to you. Do you know what will be going on in his heart now? Don’t you think he will stone you the day he realizes the foolishness you have put him?

As for the riffraff on the social media, those boys and girls who have elected to be daft, our advice for you is that you remain silent for a moment and ponder, ‘what is happening to our leaders?’

Wait a minute. What will you do if Jabata, your Oga Patapata, Baba Agba, Olori Ogun Worlwide, recants today? Will you kill yourself or follow the truth?

Keep your answer to yourself. But we think if you provide a good answer you may remove yourself from the shackles you are enmeshed in.

Anyway, this has been a naseehah for all of you. We shall not fail to look on as you engage in your mutual tragi-comedy, but we shall let you hear our voice when we have the will and ability to do so.

But we will love you to remove the scales on your faces and come back to the real Sunnah.

Only Allaah the Mighty Lord can guide.

O Allaah we persistently seek Your Guidance.
