Being A Summary of the Text Prepared by Ash-Shaykh AbdurRazaaq bn Badr bn AbdilMuhsin al-‘Abaad
May Allaah preserve the son and the father upon goodness.
Abridgement by: Aboo Aamir Ishaaq b. AbdirRaheem – may Allaah forgive him and his dead parents.

Bismillaah-ir-Rahmaan-ir-Raheem

The Messenger of Allaah - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam - said:

ليس شيء أكرم على الله تعالى من الدعاء
'There is nothing as honourable with Allaah as Duaa.'
Recorded by Al-Imaam at-Tirmidhee and Ibn Maajah; authenticated by Al-Albaanee in Saheeh Jaami (5392).

Duaa is among the worthiest acts of worship with Allaah because it indicates the weakness, neediness, littleness and nothingness of the slave before the Powerful and Able Lord.

Duaa comes with a lot of good for the slave. Shaykhu-l-islam Ibn Taymiyyah - rahmatullaah alahyi - said to Abul-Qaasim al-Maghribee:

'Duaa is the key to all good.'

Therefore, attain all the good things for your soul through Duaa.

Said Ameerul-Mu'mineen Umar bn al-Khattaab:

'I don't normally show concern about my supplications being granted but I show concern about the supplications, thus anytime I am guided to saying some supplications (and I do it), I know the answer will come alongwith.'

Thus whoever wants to achieve purification for his soul should pray for it from Allaah the Mighty. The Prophet - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam - used to say:

أللهم آت نفسي تقواها وزكها أنت خير من زكاها أنت وليها ومولاها.
'O Lord, grant piety for my soul and cleanse it, You are the Best to cleanse it. You are its Protector and Master.

May Allaah purify our souls for us.
