Ash-Shaykh Rabee al-Madkhalee May Not Be Infallible But He Is A Thorn In The Flesh of the Innovators, We May Not Really Appreciate Him Until He Is Dead

May Allaah Preserve Him and Other Mashaayikh on Goodness and Rectify the Differences Between Them

A narrator said:

Sh.Muhammad Ali Adam Al-Ethiopi on the noble Shaykh Rabee.

From that which my ears heard and my heart grasped in this blessed night from our Shaykh, the great scholar, Mohammad bin Ä€dam Al Ä’thiopÄ« (حفظه الله): 

I was beside our Shaykh in Masjid-ul-Harām between the prayers of Maghrib and 'Ishā when one of the brothers from the eastern province came asking our Shaykh about Shaykh Rabī' Al Madkhalī. And from the answer which Shaykh gave to the brother was: "Shaykh Rabī is a scholar from among the scholars [among the followers] of the Salaf in this age, and he defends the creed of the Salaf, I love him and he loves me. And I entitle him as Shu'bah of this age, Shu'bah bin Hajjāj, Shaykh Rabī' is Shu'bah bin Hajjāj of this age. And those who vilify him and accuse him of harshness, then he has preceding example for that from among the scholars. And no one opposes him except the misguided ones."

And he also said to questioner: "Go to Shaykh Rabī' and give him salām and say to him that I asked Mohammad 'Alī Ādam Al Ēthiopī about you so he said: Shaykh Rabī' is Shu'bah bin Hajjāj in this age"

[ جديد ] 

مما سمعته أذناي Ùˆ وعاه قلبي في هذه الليلة المباركة من شيخنا العلامة محمد بن علي آدم الإثيوبي حفظه الله 

كنت بجوار شيخنا في المسجد الحرام بين المغرب والعشاء فجاء أحد الإخوة من منطقة الشرقية

يسأل شيخنا عن الشيخ ربيع المدخلي فكان جواب الشيخ مما قاله للأخ الشيخ ربيع عالم

من أئمة السلف في هذا العصر ويدافع عن عقيدة السلف وأنا أحبه وهو يحبني

وأنا ألقبه بـ شعبة العصر تعرف شعبة بن الحجاج الشيخ ربيع شعبة في هذا العصر

والذي يذمونه ويصفونه بـ الشدة فإن له سلف في ذلك من العلماء ولا يعاديه إلا المنحرفون

وأيضًا كان مما قاله للسائل اذهب للشيخ ربيع وسلم عليه وقله سألت محمد علي آدم 

عنك فقال لي الشيخ ربيع شعبة بن الحجاج في هذا العصر . 

في مساء السبت السابع من شهر رمضان المبارك في المسجد الحرام 1435هـ
