Words of the Salaf Will Hurt Them...

Al-Hasan al-Basree - rahimahullaah - said:
Ù…ا من داء أشد من هوى خالط قلبا
'There is no sickness as severe as a whim that has mixed with the heart.'
(Al-Ibaanah as-Sughraa p.41, Tahqeeq: Aliyy Hasan al-Halabi - rahimahullaah).

In issues of controversies between the Muslims who ascribe themselves to the way of the Salaf, callers should at every point in time resort to the words of the Salaf as understood from the Qur'aan and the Sunnah to test the mutual claim.

Very soon the coast will become clear, the true adherents will be known and the claimants will be exposed, Inshaa Allaah.

السلفية فضاحة لغير أهلها
'Salafiyyah will expose those who are not its people.'

If when someone quotes a word from the Salaf to you which is authentic and reflective of the purports of the Qur'aan and the Sunnah, and you hiss at the fellow bringing you the word, we will suspect your that Salafiyyah no matter how colourful you portray it to be.

Very unfortunately, we are in a period when many people claim Salafiyyah and purportedly fight for its defence but are intrinsically ignorant of the same Salafiyyah.

The Internet has produced a lot of phantom people claiming the Sunnah. Sincerely things were not as chaotic as this five years upward, and Alhamdulillaah the Da'wah had been in place very much before then.

Things became wide and went wild. Wallaahul musta'aan.

That we are many in the Sunnah is good but not as thugs and hooligans in the garb of Sunnah. What the latter will destroy is much than what they will build, as evident now.

It is a matter of time, the Ummah in South West Nigeria survived the menace of Jabatiyyah then, it will outlive this new menace too, Inshaa Allaah.

We survived Sulayman Abdulghaffar et al then, we survived Aningiriyi. We will survive you too unless you mend your ways.

You can still turn better.

O Allaah grant us steadfastness in the Deen.
