Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem

@Diana. I like to point your attention to this: Ibn Kathir said commenting on the clause 'and beat them' in Verse 34 of Soorah Nisa:

'That is, when admonition and deserting do not correct them, then you can beat them LIGHTLY . It has come authentically in Saheeh Muslim (1218) on the authority of Jaabir that the Prophet -SallaLlaahu alayhi wa sallam - said in the Farewell Hajj, 'Fear Allaah with respect to the women, they are like helpers to you. You have the right upon them that they should not allow anyone that you hate sit on your bedding, if they allow that, you can beat them lightly. They however have the right that you should provide for them, and clothe them with goodness.'

End of quote. Tafseerul-Qur'aanil-Adheem, pp. 725-26, Daarul-Aafaaqil-Arabiyyah Edition.

What have you to say on this?

And she never said anything.
