Many of us started learning about democracy right from the Junior School. We then actively learnt it in Government as a Senior School subject, we even had a good 'A'. Then at the University we learnt it as borrowed and core courses in Political Science. Besides that we learn it everyday in what the Democrats and politicians.
It is wrong to say we don't understand democracy, it is utterly wrong. Repeating such a statement is a sheer grandstanding and manipulative sophistry.
Voting or election is an integral feature of democracy. To say otherwise is an F9.
Trying to remove voting from democracy, for whatever ulterior motive, is an exercise in futility, even the democrats will laugh at that.
Democracy is Kufr since it is a system that places lawmaking in the hands of the people. Also everything that aids it like campaign, elections, etc are aiding in this kufr even if they are not kufr in themselve.
Again, trying to remove the means to kufr from the kufr itself is an exercise in futility.
Can we please stop all this theological sophistry and stand firm on the Sunnah?
Alhamdulilaah that Allaah sent Muhammad - sallallahu alayhi wa sallam - to us, Alhamdulilaah that we have the Salaf to emulate.
