If You Want To Be Just

Insaaf (justice) demands that all the present-day scholars who have been accused of one bid'ah or the other like Shaykh Yahya al-Hajuree, Shaykh Farkooz; or one sìn or the other, like Shaykh Muhammad al-Madkhalee, which has also caused great divisions among the people of Sunnah; it is Insaaf that we ask those defending them the similar questions asked about Abu Al-Haarith.

Don't worry yourself, akhee, scholars would not cease to accuse one another of certain inequities.

What concerns you, you as a taalib, is to follow what you are sure to be the truth in all the matters, and don't get yourself enmeshed in the issues between the scholars, no matter how hot.

The rule is, don't follow any scholar on his proven error. So there is no scholar without errors, some are even grave.

We have said it severally that it is not a new phenomenon. Al-Imaam Ibn Abdilbarr devoted a chapter for that in his Jaami-ul-Bayaan.

Ibn Hazm Al-Andalusi was a Jaamiyy, a chronic one for that matter. Al-Imaam Abu Amr ad-Daani (al-Muqri) was on his neck, Ibn Hazm would not yield. Today he remains am Imaam whom we will not follow on that colossal error.

Ibn Hajar died making ta'weel of Sifaat. He was aware of Ibn Taymiyyah's works against that. That would not sway him. Today he is Imaam but we would not follow him on that error.

Al-Imaam Adh-Dhahabee authoritatively said it that Imaam Muslim believed in Lafdhiyyah. (Imaam Bukhari never believed so). Yet Al-Imaam Muslim remains whom he is, and we would not follow him on that error.

And in the past century, Al-Imaam Al-Albaani was accused of Irjaa. Who cried because of that?

Issues like this is a matter that we suppose to treat within the circles of outstanding learners, we are not getting it right by bringing it here.

Making it issue before the common people is a misplaced priority, in fact a great one indeed.

Teachers, teach the people the basics of their Deen. Let's have mercy on the populace.

Manhaj Salaf of Abu Al-Haarith had been written more than a decade ago. It never caused any issue here because there was a sense of priority.

You may say Abu Al-Haarith would not be placed in the class of Ibn Hajar, you are right. But  he was a. scholar on his own right. Al-Albaani gave him Ijaazah (authorization) . Many scholars like Shaykh Rabee (hafidhahullaah) recognised that Ijaazah before the crisis set in.

Please let's go back to the basics and stop all this wàhálà.

If you like call it another ejò wẹ́wẹ́.
