Anas bn Maalik (radhiyal Laahu 'anh) relates: the messenger of Allaah (sallal Laahu 'alayhi wasallam) said:
"Allaah had appointed an angel who proclaims at the time of every Salaah: 'O sons of Aadam, stand up to extinguish the fire you have kindled against your own souls'."
