Translation: Ishaaq bn AbdirRaheem Aboo Aamir
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
Ash-Shaykh Muhammad NaasirudDeen al-Albaanee – rahimahuLllaah – was asked:
‘What is the most appropriate word to say about al-Hajjaaj bn Yuusuf ath-Thaqafee; was he a Kaafir or not?’
Al-Imaam al-Albaanee – rahimahulLaah – answered: ‘We testify that al-Hajjaaj was a sinner and oppressor but we are not aware about him if he denied what is known in the Deen as undeniable; therefore, it is not right to declare him a disbeliever simply because he was a sinner and oppressor, and that he killed the innocent ones among the Muslims.’

هل هو كاÙر؟
الجواب: Ù†ØÙ† نشهد أن الØجاج Ùاجر وظالم، لكننا لا
نعلم منه أنه أنكر ما هو معلوم من الدين بالضرورة، Ùلا يجوز تكÙيره بمجرد أنه Ùجر، وظلم، وقتل الأبرياء من المسلمين.
