It's expected of a caller ascribing himself to the path of the Salaf to proclaim it at this present time.
Ash-Shaykh Al-Albaanee - rahimahullaah - said: "Praise be to Allaah, it's known amongst all people that I'm a Salafee, calling to adhering to the path of the righteous Salaf in words and writing." [Tamaa'im Al-Mimnah, 255]
The Salafee Call stands on adhering to the Qur'aan and Sunnah upon the Salaf's understanding, "tafsiyyah" and "tarbiyyah".
"Tafsiyyah" is removing stain and weak matters from the religion; fabricated reports and the likes, and warning against those stains.
"Tarbiyyah" is rearing people with authentic evidence upon righteous deeds; good manners inclusively.
From what adherents of Salafiyyah are known for are:
- Learning about their Lord, their Prophet ï·º and their religion.
- They act and speak based on authentic evidence.
- They will never opine on any stance unless with authentic evidence.
A Salafi must know what's called "bid'ah", stay away from it and from its people, and warn against it.
Bid'ah is a newly invented matter attached to Islaam while lacking authentic evidence from the religious sources.
"Evidence" is so important to a Salafi that's why he can be called "Al-Atharee" [he who follows evidence].
Bid'ah can come from doctrinal matters or physical acts of worship, and its rulings are of two:
1. Making the practitioner a disbeliever; most doctrinal bid'ah falls here.
2. Making the practitioner a sinner but who remains a Muslim.
• All Bid'ah is deviation, and all deviation ends in the Hell.
