Who Should Warn Against the Innovators?

Is talking and warning about the hizbees considered a prohibition? Is this matter the prerogative of the scholars or the students of knowledge even if the truth of their affairs is clear to the latter?

Answer: It is essential that the people of knowledge are asked about this matter but anybody that fights against the Sunnah, its people and the sittings of the people of knowledge must be warned against. Meanwhile the person that wants to dispraise or praise another must have the requisite tools of both. He must fear Allah the Mighty in what he says because the basis as regard the dignity of the Muslims is prohibition as said by the Prophet [salaLlâhu alayhi wa sallam]:

‘Your blood, wealth and dignity are mutually sacred just as this day of this month and in this city are sacred.’ [Al-Bukhârî and Muslim]

It is however permissible for a student of knowledge to warn about the people of desires but according to the limits of what is known as ‘adaalah [justice]. [Allâh says:]

‘...and whenever you give your word (i.e. judge between men or give evidence, etc.), say the truth...’ [An’aam:152].

‘…and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety…’ [Mâidah: 8]

‘Verily, Allâh enjoins Al-Adl (i.e. justice and worshipping none but Allâh alone) and Al-Ihsân [i.e. to be patient in performing your duties to Allâh…]’ [Nahl: 90]

Allâh also said in His Noble Book:

‘O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allâh, even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allâh is a better protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allâh is ever WellAcquainted with what you do.’ [Nisâ: 135]

There must be justice in what is said about the Hizbees. I am not however saying that you look at an innovator and you begin to weigh what he has of good and evil; you can’t mention the good of an innovator. We do not have time for that.

We have said before that people who belong to Hikmah Society and Ihsân Society take cue from Ikhwaan Muslimoon [The Muslim Brotherhood] while the latter take cue from those on the corridor of powers. The two societies mentioned are means to entering the Muslim Brotherhood [which is the root of all evils].
