This is composed of:

The absolute belief and attestation to the existence of Allaah (may He be Glorified), that He (may He be Glorified) is above the creations and above the Throne in His Essence, that He (may He be Glorified) is balanced upon the Throne in a manner befitting His loftiness and greatness, He (may He be Glorified) is the Lord of the worlds, He (may He be Glorified) is the Creator of all things, He (may He be Glorified) is the Provider for every living and the dead, He (may He be Glorified) is the controller of all affairs, it is He (may He be Glorified) who causes things to happen, He (may He be Glorified) brings forth rain from the sky, He (may He be Glorified), He (may He be Glorified) is the Lord of the seven heavens and the seven earths, He (may He be Glorified) is the Lord of the Great Throne, it is He (may He be Glorified) who had subjected the sun, the moon and the stars (to His Commands), He (may He be Glorified) has power over all hearing and sight, He makes successful and guides whoever He (may He be Glorified) wishes by His Mercy and Favor, He (may He be Glorified) leads astray whoever He wishes by His Justices and Wisdom, He (may He be Glorified) does whatever He wishes and judges however he wishes, He (may He be Glorified) is never questioned on His actions but they (the creations) would be questioned.

This (all that is stated above) is the attestation to the Oneness of Allah in His Lordship and Actions and this is called at-Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyyah.

The absolute belief and attestation that to Allaah (may He be Glorified) belongs the most Beautiful Names (Al-Asmaau Al-Husnaa) and the most Lofty and Honorable Attributes (as-Sifaatu al-Ulaa), He (may He be Glorified) has either called Himself by these Names (in His Book) or His Prophet (may Allaah’s Blessings and Salutations be upon Him) had called Him (may He be Glorified) by these Names or He (may He be Glorified) had described Himself (may He be Glorified) by these Attributes His Prophet (may Allaah’s Blessings and Salutations be upon Him) had described Him (may He be Glorified) by these Attributes such as As-Sam’ee (the all-Hearer), Al-Baseer (the all-Seer), Al-‘Aleem (the Most Knowledgeable), Al-Qadeer (the One who Pre-destines), Ar-Rahman (the One who Blesses all His slaves, be it a believer and a non-believer in this world), Ar-Raheem (the One who will Bless the believers alone on the Day of Resurrection) also examples of His Attributes are the attribute of knowledge, capability, mercy, pleasure, anger, etc.

It is compulsory to have absolute faith that these Names and Attributes are actually in their real sense befitting loftiness and greatness, there is no similarity in His Names and Attributes with those of His slaves, His Names and His Attributes are true in their reality, the meaning of His names and attributes should neither be altered or changed, negated, questioned about (how or what) nor compared (to those of His creations). This (all that is stated above) is the attestation to the Oneness of Allah in His Names and Attributes and this is called at-Tawheed al-Asmaa wa as-sifaat.

The absolute belief and attestation that Allaah (may He be Glorified) alone has the complete right to be worshiped in all its types, that it is compulsory to single out Allaah alone with these acts of worship and strict adherence to these acts of worship for Him (may He be Glorified) alone such as the daily compulsory prayers, the compulsory alms giving, fasting, visiting the house of Allaah in Makkah, sacrificial animals, making vows, seeking help, seeking safety from danger, circumambulation, striving in the cause of Allaah,  goodness to one’s parents, upholding the tie of kinship, been good to one’s neighbors, reciting the Quraan, remembrance of Allaah such as saying Subhanaallaah, Alhamdulillaah, Laa ilaaha ila Allaah, Allaahu Akbar, commanding that which is good, and forbidding that which is evil, avoiding the prohibited affairs, spending to that which is good, been good to other creations and avoiding harming them, etc from the established types of acts of worship, acting and avoiding.

This (all that is stated above) is the attestation to the Oneness of Allah in His Worship and this is called at-Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah wa al-‘Ibaadah, this is the right of Allaah upon His creation, it is because if it the creation were created, Allaah (may He be Glorified) says:

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me” [Adh-Dhaariyat: 56]

Because of it, Allaah (may He be Glorified) sent His Messengers, revealed His Books, Allaah (may He be Glorified) says:

“And We sent not before you any messenger except that we revealed to him that, there is no deity worthy of worship except Me, so worship Me” [Al-Anbiya: 25].

He Allaah (may He be Glorified) also said:

“And We certainly sent to every nation a Messenger (saying), ‘Worship Allaah and avoid all those idols worshiped apart from Allaah” [An-Nahl: 36]
