Bismillaah-ir-Rahmaan-ir-Raheem
Ibn Mas’ood – may Allaah be pleased with him- said:
‘Whoever wants to take exemplars in people should follow those who are dead, and those are the Sahabah of the Messenger of Allaah – sallaLlaahu alahyi wa sallam – they were the best in this Ummah, they had the most pious hearts, most profound in knowledge, least in exaggeration. A people whom Allaah chose as companions for His Prophet, to transmit the Deen from him. Emulate their character and follow their paths, they were upon straight guidance.’
