Bismillaah-ir-Rahmaan-ir-Raheem
Al-Imaam Adh-Dhahabee recorded in his Siyar [12/68] that Yahya bn ‘Aun said:
‘I entered alongside Suhnoon when Ibn al-Qassaar was sick.'
He said: ‘Why this fear [from you, O Ibn al-Qassaar]?’
He replied: ‘Death and meeting Allaah!’ Suhnoon then said: ‘Don’t you believe in the Messengers of Allaah, Resurrection and Accountability, Jannah and Hell, and that the best of this Ummah was Aboo Bakr then ‘Umar, and that Qur’aan is the Word of Allaah not created, and that Allaah will be seen on the Day of Resurrection, and that He sits on His Throne, and that you don’t believe in rebelling against the rulers if they are unjust?’’
Ibn al-Qassaar said: ‘Yes, I swear by Allaah.’
Suhnoon said: ‘Die when you wish, die when you wish!’
