Translation: Ishaaq bn AbdirRaheem Aboo Aamir
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
Shaykul Islam ibn Taymiyyah – rahimahullaah - was asked about a man who would rate the Jews and the Chrisitans over the Raafidis [the Shiah].
He said: All praise to Allaah. Whoever believes in what Muhammad – sallaLlaahu alayhi wa sallam – came with is better than whoever disbelieves in him even if there are some forms of bid’ah in that believer be they bid’ah of the Khawaarij, the Shia, the Mur’jiah, the Qadariyah or others because the Jews and the Christians fell into a disbelief well-known in the Deen of Islam. When a mubtadi (in his heresy) thinks he is trying to follow the Messenger of Allaah – salallaahu alahyi wa sallam – not that he wants to oppose him then he will not be regarded as a disbeliever because of that, even if it happens that he actually falls into a disbelief, his kufr cannot be regarded on the same footing with the like of those who denied the Messenger of Allaah – sallaLlaahu alahyi wa sallam – [among the Jews and the Christians].
