Compilation and Translation: Abu Sahl (@dhikrulas).

Bismillaah-ir-Rahmaan-ir-Raheem
Prelude: Al-Imaam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah named the narration thus and mentioned five of them in Haad al-Arwaah pp.710 and 712.

The reports have a close or akin meaning to the hadeeth ar-Ruyah wa Siraat, so the Ulamaa used to explain both side by side.

The Texts

Anas reported (in the story of the Well of Mu'wanah):

We have met our Lord and He is pleased with us and has made us pleased. (Collected by Al Bukharee and Muslim)

'Ubaadah, Aaishah, Aboo Hurayrah and Ibn Mas'ood - may Allaah be pleased with all - said (the Messenger of Allaah said):

Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah (too) loves to meet him and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah (too) hates to meet him."
(Collected by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim).

Anas - may Allaah be pleased with him - reported from the Messenger of Allaah - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam that he said:

You will soon see people giving preference to others, so remain patient till you meet me (on the Day of Resurrection).
(Collected by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim).

Aboo Dharr - may Allaah be pleased with him - reported the Messenger of Allaah - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam - that he said:

...and he who meets Me in the state that his sins fill the earth, but not associating anything with Me, I would meet Him with the same (vastness) of pardon (on My behalf)."
(Collected by Muslim)

Aboo Moosa - may Allaah be pleased with him - reported the Messenger of Allaah - sallallaahu alahyi wa sallam - that he said:

Whoever meets Allaah without associating partner with Him will enter the Paradise.
(The verifier of Haad al Arwaah says: I did find in the report of Aboo Moosa with this wording).

Apart from the reports, there are many verses of al-Qur'ān that speak about the meeting of Allaah in the paradise;

Allaah the Mighty says:

Then, We gave Musa (Moses) the Book [the Taurat (Torah)], to complete (Our Favour) upon those who would do right, and explaining all things in detail and a guidance and a mercy that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord. (al-An'aam:154)

So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord."(al-Kahf:110)

Whoever hopes for the Meeting with Allah, then Allah's Term is surely coming. and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.(al-Ankaboot:5)

Al-Imaam Ibn Qayyim(Haadi al-Arwaah p.710) said:

Aboo AbdiLlaahi ibn Battah said:I heard Aboo Umar bn Muhammad  bn Abdil Waheed-the scholar of the language- saying; I heard Aboo Al-'Abbaas Ahmad bn Yahyah saying regarding the statement of Allaah The Sublime;

Their greeting on the Day they shall meet Him will be "Salam: Peace (i.e. the angels will say to them: Salamu 'Alaikum)!" And He has prepared for them a generous reward (i.e. Paradise).(Al-Ahzāb:44)

The scholars of Arabic Language agreed that: "al-Liqaa'' (Meeting of Allaah) here means viewing and seeing with the eyes.(End Quote)

Know - may you be honored - this is the correct creed of Ahl-us-sunnah wal Jama'ah, as Aboo Bakr bn Abdillaah (the son of the compiler of Sunan Abee Daawood) chanted;

And say; Allaah will make Himself visible to the creation, openly,
Just as the full moon is not hard to see, your Lord (will be seen) more clearly.

A Jahmee rejects this, however we have as a testimony to the truth of what we are saying-hadeeth that clarifies it.

Jareer reported it from the word of Muhammad
So say, what he said about that and you will be successful.

Ash-Shaykh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah also chanted:

The believers will truthfully see their Lord(in hereafter).

Ash-Shaykh Saalih Al-'Uthaymeen said (Sharh al-Aqeedah al-Waasitiyyah p. 295): some of the scholars opine that, whoever rejects seeing of Allaah The High (in Hereafter) is kaafir, tergiversator. It is an obligation upon every beliver to affirm this.

Rectifying the Misconceptions.

Allaah the Mighty says:

No vision can grasp Him, but His Grasp is over all vision. He is the Most Subtle and Courteous, Well-Acquainted with all things.(Al-An'aam:103)

Some astrayed sects used this Verse as an evidence to negate seeing of Allaah in hereafter.

But, the scholars of sunnah agreed upon that, this Verse substantiates seeing Allaah, except it negates seeing (grasp) Him to the fullest. This was said by Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Qayyim, Shaykh Raabi' Al-Madhkhalee, Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan and others.

He The Sublime also says:

And when Musa (Moses) came at the time and place appointed by Us, and his Lord spoke to him, he said: "O my Lord! Show me (Yourself), that I may look upon You." Allah said: "You cannot see Me...(Suratul A'araaf:143)

Ash-Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (Sharh Haahiyah p.34) said: Lan here does not mean eternal negation, rather it means you cannot see me on earth, because "seeing Allah" in the Hereafter (is textually proved). End Quote.

Oh Allaah elongate our lives upon the Sunnah, make our provisions lawful, grant us good health and count us among those who will meet and see You in the Hereafter.
