Translation: Aboo Aamaal Misbaah Olagunju
The Fifth Counsel (O Student of Knowledge) is:
المشورة لأهل العلم وعدم الاستبداد بالرأي
Making Consultations with the People of Knowledge and Avoiding Projecting One's View (Before Theirs)
And be avid towards rubbing minds with those who are more knowledgeable than you, or your equals on the path of seeking knowledge, because from the attributes with which Allah described the believers is deliberation, He said:
(وَأَمۡرُهُمۡ شُورَىٰ بَیۡنَهُمۡ )
"and who (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation" – (Ash-Shura:38)
Therefore distant yourself, my brother the knowledge seeker, from absolutism in your rationale, or self amazement. Combine the knowledge of others with yours, and be avaricious upon being deliberate and in avoiding hastiness.
