If You See A Teacher Defective in Salaah

Aboo Al-Aaliyah - rahimahullahu - said:

'I would travel to a man for days to hear knowledge from him, whenever I got to him, the first thing I would watch in him was his Salaah, if he performed it well (observing its conditions and recommendations), I would stay and hear from him. But if he was lagging regarding it, I would leave him and say: 'He would be more defective in other than Salaah.''

كنتُ أرحلُ إلى الرجل مسيرة أيام لأسمع منه ؛ فأوَّلُ ما أفتقد منه صلاته، فإن أجده يقيمها أقمت وسمعت منه ، وإن أجده يُضيِّعُها رجعتُ ولم أسمع منه،
