يقول الشيخ صالح السحيمي -حفظه الله
(وقد نشأت ناشئة مهمتهم التحريش بين المشايخ وبين طلبة العلم أصحاب المنهج الواحد، وإيغار صدورهم بعضهم على بعض وتقمص العلم، وربما ذهبوا إلى بعض الشيوخ فشوهوا سمعة إخوانهم عند أولئك الشيوخ، وقد يكون ذلكم الشيخ معذورًا فيما نقل إليه لثقته في هؤلاء، مع أنه يجب التحري من هؤلاء الذين يُدَّعى أنهم ثقات، أو يُدَّعى أنهم عدول، أو يُدَّعى أنهم شهود الله في أرضه، وهم مرضى القلوب.
Shaykh Saalih as-Suhaymee– may Allah preserve him
– said:
“A new group has emerged whose mission is to sow discord between scholars and students of knowledge who follow the same methodology, to stir up resentment among them, and claim to have knowledge. They may go to some scholars and tarnish the reputation of their peers in front of those scholars. That scholar might be excused for believing what is conveyed to him due to his trust in these people. However, it is necessary to investigate the trustworthiness of those who claim to be reliable, who claim to be just, or who claim to be witnesses of Allah on earth, yet they have diseased hearts.
أدَّت طريقتهم هذه إلى شرخ خطير في صفوف الأمة الواحدة، وفي صفوف أصحاب المنهج الواحد، وأدَّت إلى ظهور الأحقاد، وأدَّت إلى الصدِّ عن الدعوة، وأدَّت إلى تشويه سمعة المنهج السلفي، وأدَّت إلى غمز وتنقص بعض العلماء ممن له باع عظيم في خدمة السنة النبوية، وأدَّت إلى خلاف عريض.
وإذا سألت عن حقيقة الأمر لا تجد إلَّا جَعجَعة كطحن القرون، وشقشقة، وكلامًا، فارغًا، وقلَّة حياء، من أولئك المغرضين الذين يشتغلون في القالة بين الناس، ليتهم سخَّروا عقولهم وأقوالهم تلك في خدمة السنة، والردِّ على المبتدعة الحقيقيين، بل إنهم سلم منهم المبتدعة والحزبيون وصَبُّوا جام غضبهم على إخوانهم أهل السنة، وشوَّهوا سمعتهم، وقوَّلوهم ما لم يقولوا، وملئت زبالات الإنترنت بكثير من هذا الهراء.
Their approach has led to a dangerous rift among members of the same ummah and among those following the same methodology. It has resulted in the emergence of hatred, diversion from the path of dawah, tarnishing the reputation of the Salafi methodology, and criticism of some scholars who have greatly served the Sunnah of the Prophet. It has also led to widespread disagreements. If you inquire about the truth of the matter, you find nothing but empty noise, shallow talk, and a lack of decency from those who spread rumors among people. If only they had used their intellect and words in service of the Sunnah and refutation of the real innovators! In fact, the innovators and partisans have been safe from them, while they have poured their wrath on their brothers from Ahl al-Sunnah, distorting their reputation and attributing to them things they never said. The garbage of the internet is filled with much of this nonsense.
وأكثره هراء (والله أنا سمعته قال كذا فعلًا هو يقصد كذا وكذا، أنا رأيته يمشي مع فلان إذًا هو ليس بسلفي، أنا سمعته زار الجهة الفلانية إذًا نخرجه من السلفية، أنا سمعته يقول كيت وكيت إذًا هو يقصد كذا وكذا، سمعته تكلم على القضية الفلانية إذًا هو يعني: الشيخ فلان، يقصد الكلام على الشيخ فلان) وهو لا يقصد ولم يخطر بباله شيء من ذلك.
فاحذروا من هذا المسلك المشين!، احذروا من هذا المسلك المشين!، واطلبوا العلم للعلم، لا لقصد التباهي به والتفاخر به على الناس، وتشويه سمعة الآخرين، فإنها أساليب قد مللها المسلمون، وأسهمت إسهامًا مباشرًا في قلة أو في الصدِّ عن السنة، والصدِّ عن الأخذ عن العلماء الأكابر، بسبب تلبيس بعض الأشخاص، الجهلة وربما كانوا من السفهاء، ربما كانت نقلاتهم تهكمًا بأهل العلم.
فاحذروا من هؤلاء قطاع الطرق الذين آذوا المسلمين!، وآذوا طلاب العلم، وآذوا العلماء، وشوَّهوا سمعة إخوانهم بغير مبرر حقيقي.
وإياك أنت أخي طالب العلم!، وإياكم أيها العلماء الأفاضل!، أن تصغوا لكل من يأتيكم بأقاويل ولو شهدوا عليها ولو أقسموا عليها، ما لم تسمع أنت من الشخص الكلام الصحيح الذي قاله أو اتصل به واسأله.
Most of it is trivial: (I swear I heard him say this, he must have meant such-and-such, I saw him walking with so-and-so, so he’s not a Salafi, I heard he visited this group, so we should expel him from Salafiyyah, I heard him say this, so he must mean such-and-such, I heard him speak about this issue, so he must be criticizing Shaykh so-and-so.) In reality, he meant none of that, and such thoughts never even crossed his mind.
Beware of this disgraceful path! Beware of this disgraceful path! Seek knowledge for the sake of knowledge, not for showing off or boasting about it to others, nor for tarnishing the reputation of others. Muslims have grown weary of these methods, which have directly contributed to turning people away from the Sunnah and from benefiting from the senior scholars because of the deception of some individuals—who may be ignorant or even foolish—whose claims are sometimes mere mockery of the scholars.
Beware of these highwaymen who harm Muslims, harm students of knowledge, harm scholars, and tarnish the reputation of their brothers without any real justification.
And you, my brother, the student of knowledge! And you, esteemed scholars! Do not listen to anyone who brings you statements, even if they bear witness or swear to them, unless you hear the correct statement from the person themselves or contact them and ask them.
فقد عانينا وعانينا كثيرًا من هذا المسلك المشين الخطير الذي ظلم به كثير من أهل العلم، واتهموا بما ليس فيهم، وحِّذِر من علماء أفاضل وطلاب علم أفاضل يسيرون على منهج هؤلاء العلماء.
احذروا من ذلك!، إذا جاءك فلان من هؤلاء المتسرعين العَجِلين وقال لك: لا تسمع لفلان، قل: تعال أعطني الدليل، أعطني الدليل، الدليل سمعنا فلان وفلان يقولون كذا، لأ، لا أقبل منك هذا الكلام، أعطني أنت الدليل، أو واجهني بفلان.
أمَّا هذه الأساليب فقد مجَّت وسئمها المسلمون، بل وشوهت مسيرة المنهج السلفي، فاحذروامن هذا!.
وفي الحقيقة: يعني: ينبغي للمسلم أن يرجع للعلماء-طالب العلم-أن يرجع للعلماء الربانيين في هذه المسائل، ولا يرجع إلى صغار الناس، أو إلى المصطادين في الماء العكر، أو إلى الذين يريدون الظهور والتعالم، يرجع إلى العلماء لعلي أذكر نماذج منهم أو بعض أسمائهم حتى ننهل من علمهم لا على سبيل الحصر وإنما على سبيل المثال.
We have suffered greatly from this disgraceful and dangerous path, which has caused many scholars to be wrongfully accused of things they did not do. Distinguished scholars and students of knowledge who follow the same methodology as these scholars have been warned against.
Beware of this! If someone from these hasty individuals comes to you and says, ‘Do not listen to so-and-so,’ ask them for evidence. Ask for proof, not just hearsay like, ‘So-and-so and so-and-so said this.’ No, do not accept this. Demand proof, or ask to confront the person in question.
These methods have become detestable and tiresome to Muslims, and they have distorted the path of the Salafi methodology. So, beware of this!
In truth, a Muslim – especially the student of knowledge – should refer back to the scholars, the Rabbani scholars, in these matters, not to novices or those fishing in troubled waters, or to those seeking fame and pretense of knowledge. They should return to the scholars. I may mention examples of them or some of their names so that we may benefit from their knowledge, not to be exhaustive, but merely to give examples.
مشايخنا الأفاضل القدامى من توفي ومن هو موجود:
1- الشيخ عبد العزيز بن عبد الله بن باز-رحمه الله-.
2- الشيخ محمد بن صالح العثيمين-رحمه الله-.
3- الشيخ حماد بن محمد الأنصاري-رحمه الله-.
4- الشيخ محمد أمان الجامي-رحمه الله-.
5- الشيخ محمد ناصر الدين الألباني-رحمه الله-.
ومشايخنا المعاصرون الموجودون:
1- سماحة شيخنا الشيخ المفتي: الشيخ عبد العزيز بن عبد الله آل الشيخ-حفظه الله-.
2- الشيخ صالح بن فوزان الفوزان-حفظه الله-.
3- الشيخ عبد الله الغديَّان-رحمه الله-.
4- الشيخ صالح اللحيدان-حفظه الله-.
5- الشيخ صالح بن عبد العزيز آل الشيخ-حفظه الله-.
6- الشيخ أحمد النجمي-رحمه الله-.
7- الشيخ ربيع بن هادي المدخلي-حفظه الله-.
8- الشيخ زيد بن هادي المدخلي-حفظه الله-.
9- الشيخ علي بن ناصر الفقيهي-حفظه الله-.
10- الشيخ عبد المحسن بن حمد العباد-حفظه الله-.
وكلامي هذا أيضًا لا يعني الترتيب وإنما كلهم على خير يؤخذ منه، ولأن هناك من يعني: يغمز ويلمز بعض هؤلاء أحببت أن أذكر أسماءهم على سبيل المثال فقط، وإلا فالمشايخ كثر.
11- الشيخ صالح بن عبد العزيز آل الشيخ-وفقه الله-، وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والأوقاف والدعوة والإرشاد.
وغيرهم من دعاة الهدى والمشايخ وممن من هو على منهجهم، من يعني: إخواننا قل طلبة العلم الشباب الذين لهم باع أيضًا في نشر العلم الشرعي وخدمة السنة النبوية، وهم يسيرون على نهج هؤلاء العلماء، طبعًا بقي الكثير مثل:
12- الشيخ محمد السبيل-شفاه الله-.
وشيء يعني: كثير لكن! لا ندري بالنسبة لإخواننا الآخرين-طلاب العلم-الآخرين الذين هم على نهج هؤلاء المشايخ هل نذكر منهم نماذج؟، أم يخشى أن يقال: لِـمَ ذكرت فلانًا وتركت فلانًا؟،
لعل الأولى أن نكتفي بذكر أسماء المشايخ، وبقية إخواننا الذين تسمعون من يشوههم أوينال منهم عليكم أن تذبوا عنهم، كثير منهم على خير، وعلى هدى، وعلى تقى، وأصحاب سنة، فدافعوا عنهم إذا ما سمعتم من يغمزهم أو يلمزهم.
Our esteemed senior scholars, those who have passed away and those who remain:
1. Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz – may Allah have mercy on him.
2. Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen – may Allah have mercy on him.
3. Shaykh Hammud bin Muhammad al-Ansari – may Allah have mercy on him.
4. Shaykh Muhammad Amaan al-Jaami – may Allah have mercy on him.
5. Shaykh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani – may Allah have mercy on him.
And our contemporary scholars:
1. Our esteemed Shaykh, the Mufti: Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al al-Shaykh – may Allah preserve him.
2. Shaykh Saalih bin Fawzan al-Fawzan – may Allah preserve him.
3. Shaykh Abdullah al-Ghudayyan – may Allah have mercy on him.
4. Shaykh Saleh al-Luhaydan – may Allah have mercy on him.
5. Shaykh Saalih bin Abdul Aziz Al al-Shaykh – may Allah preserve him.
6. Shaykh Ahmad al-Najmi – may Allah have mercy on him.
7. Shaykh Rabi’ bin Hadi al-Madkhali – may Allah preserve him.
8. Shaykh Zayd bin Hadi al-Madkhali – may Allah preserve him.
9. Shaykh Ali bin Nasir al-Faqihi – may Allah preserve him.
10. Shaykh Abdul Muhsin bin Hamd al-Abbad – may Allah preserve him.
I mention these names not in any particular order, and they are all upon goodness. We take from them because there are those who cast aspersions on some of these scholars, so I wanted to mention their names by way of example, not to be exhaustive. There are many scholars.
11. Shaykh Saalih bin Abdul Aziz Al al-Shaykh – may Allah grant him success – Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.
And others from the callers of guidance and scholars, and some of our brothers, young students of knowledge, who also have a significant role in spreading Islamic knowledge and serving the Sunnah of the Prophet. They follow the methodology of these scholars. Of course, there are many, such as:
12. Shaykh Muhammad al-Sabeel – may Allah heal him.
There are many others, but regarding our other brothers—students of knowledge—who follow the path of these scholars, should we mention examples, or is it feared that people will ask, ‘Why did you mention so-and-so and leave out so-and-so?’ It may be better to suffice with mentioning the scholars, and as for the rest of our brothers, whom you may hear being slandered or attacked, you should defend them. Many of them are upon goodness, guidance, and righteousness, and they are people of the Sunnah. So defend them if you hear anyone criticize or mock them.
أسأل الله الكريم رب العرش العظيم بأسمائه الحسنى وصفاته العلا أن يوفقني وإياكم لِمَا يحبه ويرضاه، وأن يجعلنا ممن يستمع القول فيتبع أحسنه، وآخر دعوانا أن الحمد لله رب العالمين، وصلى الله وسلم وبارك على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.)

I ask Allah, the Most Generous, Lord of the Mighty Throne, by His Beautiful Names and Lofty Attributes, to guide me and you to that which He loves and is pleased with, and to make us among those who hear the speech and follow the best of it. Our final prayer is that all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions."
