The ongoing phase of the fundraising for the construction of the slab to carry an upper floor of Masjid Tawheed located in the city of Ede, Osun State, Nigeria, is now at N677,945.

In a statement made on Saturday night, Rabiul Awwal 9, 1440, (16th November, 2018) by the Supervising Secretary of the Masjid, Mallam Qaasim Awwal, on the Whatsapp platform for the purpose, the amount was reached after the donations collected from the worshippers in the Masjid after the Jumah of that day. He said the amount collected at Jumah of that day was N12,050 while what was collected in the previous Jumah was N24,300.

Earlier in the afternoon after the Jumah, the Supervising Secretary had reiterated the need for each adult worshipper to make N100 contribution every week. He said with that weekly contribution, the Masjid will be realizing N40,000 from about 400 worhippers every week. He said a mini-launching like the one held in the previous Jumah will be held soon.

Meanwhile the members of the public who want to assist in the cause have been asked to make their donations to the Masjid account given as: At-Tawheed Central Mosque, 3080156760, First Bank Plc.

The slab project that involves construction of massive steel and concrete work is budgeted at N6 million.

Masjid Tawheed is the masjid in charge of Madrasah Tawheed, Ede. Its foundation stones were laid in 2010. People presently worship in a makeshift space which is increasingly becoming too small for the soaring worhippers.
