Those who want to be serious learners of Islam have been advised to set personal goals for themselves in their quest for the Islamic knowledge even if will require shutting down their mobiles in the mornings for their personal meditations and revision of knowledge.

Imaam of Masjid Tawheed, Ede, Ustaadh Tawfeeq Olanrewaju also known as Aboo Hanun gave this advice on Tuesday 4th Rabeeul Awwal 1440 (13th November, 2018) at a knowledge-based class at Masjid Sawmill, Ededimeji, Ede Osun State.

The Imaam said further that students of the Islamic knowledge need to assess themselves as traders do in terms of profit and loss.

He mentioned as an example that students of knowledge who want to memorize the Noble Quraan can set a year for that. He said with a quarter of the juz (30 of which are in the Quraan), the student can finish the Quraan in a year. He said after achieving the memorization of the Quraan, the student can pick another Islamic text such as Umdatul Ahkaam (a book of hadeeth jurisprudence).

The Imaam then explained the hadeeth of the day from Saheeh al-Bukhaaree.

Students came from far and wide for the early morning class that is held every Tuesday.
