Ramadan Day Fifteen

Does Allaah Speak to His Slaves?

The emphatic answer to that is 'yes'. He - the Mighty - spoke to some from behind the Veil, without an intermediary, like Nabee Musa (Alayhi Salaam); and to some using His Angel-Messenger, these were the Prophets. As for the rest of mankind, He spoke to them upon the tongues of the Messengers sent to them.

So He revealed His Words to those Prophets for latter to deliver to the people. The Messengers said to their people: 'This is the Word of Allaah which He commanded us to bring to you.'

It is for this reason the Salaf said: 'Whoever denies the fact that Allaah speaks has denied the messages sent to all the Messengers.' The reality of the Messengers is to deliver the message of Allaah to His slaves. So if there is no Word from Him, there is no need for sending Messengers.

This matter goes in tandem with the natural instinct of man as well as the right intellect, yet supported by the heavenly revelations, that whoever does not possess the Perfect Attributes cannot be referred to as the Divine Being; he can't be the Seer to the affairs of the creation nor the Lord over them. In fact he will be regarded as a blameworthy being full of weaknesses. He will possess no praise, not here and hereafter.

It is for this reason the Salaf would name the books they wrote on affirming the Perfect Attributes for Allaah, His being above His creation, His Attribute of Speech, etc, as Tawheed.

The Jahmee Clan however see not affirming the Perfect Attributes of Allaah for Him as Tawheed. This is evil. They say affirming them for Allaah is tantamount to comparing Him with His creation and getting a Form for Him. So they named the falsehood the truth, and vice versa.

Allaah exists and He speaks. A non-existing being cannot be praised neither is a dumb being.
