Ramadan Day Twenty-One
The Messenger of Allaah - sallallahu alayhi wa sallam - in the hadeeth cited yesterday said Allaah the Majestic had it written with Him on the Throne that His mercy overpowers His anger.
If you read that alongside the Verses that say He Ar-Rahmaan establishes Himself on the Throne, you will come to understand the wonders in grasping the effective meanings of the Names of Allaah the Mighty.
This, provided you don't have heretical thoughts such as those of the Jahmiyyah militating against that understanding.
Allaah's Attributes of Justice, holding back fortunes of the slaves and letting them, His causing rise and fall of His slaves, His granting and withholding, His honouring and debasing, His Power and Wisdom, and what is similar, all showcase His being called Al-Malik.
He said He is the Malik (King and Controller) on the Last Day - the Day of Recompense with justice - because He Alone is going to be the Judge that Day.
That is the Day of Truth, everything before it would be like a passing hour.
That is the Utmost Day which the days of life are steps towards.
