Let me begin on a lighter note. Malik claims he now looks fresh and “pluppy” because he freely consumes all those things Muslims used to “scare” him about, pork, dog, cat meat, dead goat, donkey, liquor, and the rest. Well, the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Every body that is nourished from unlawful (ḥarām) earnings, the Fire is more deserving of it.”
So enjoy yourself, Malik, for now. You will meet your Creator one day.
Secondly, I deliberately refrained from responding again to your outburst that "Islam is kpai kpai" because I noticed you were spiraling despite the simple explanation I had already given you about the rules of warfare in Islam here and here. I believe your audience understood me better than you did.
I also saw your sarcastic comment about the statement of the best of Mankind, ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam, regarding the devil sleeping in our nostrils when we sleep. Some of your audience joked about that, asking what happens to the devil that's pelted at the jamaraat during Ḥajj.
Let me add to it: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said that the devil circulates within the human body like blood.
Anyone who denies the prevalence of demonic influences around us is either ignorant or possessed. And frankly, it’s most likely that you, Malik, are possessed. You may be due for some serious ruqyah (exorcism).
On the Issue of "All Muslims Going to Hell"
Malik, you’re not being academically honest. At the very least, you could have quoted the ḥadīth properly and interpreted it as literally as it was stated.
Let’s look at the more comprehensive narration. It comes from the ḥadīth of ʿAwf ibn Mālik al-Ashjaʿī, recorded by Ibn Mājah and al-Ḥākim, and graded ṣaḥīḥ by al-Albānī in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Jāmiʿ.
But it seems you missed that lesson before things went downhill for you.
The summary of the ḥadīth is this: divisions will occur among the Jews, the Christians, and the Muslims.
Did the Prophet ﷺ lie? Or did he speak the truth?
He also said that from each of these groups, a single sect would be saved.
In the report from Jāmiʿ at-Tirmidhī, he said:
"The Jews split into seventy-one sects, the Christians split into seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will split into seventy-three sects—all of them are in the Fire except one."
They asked, “Who is it, O Messenger of Allah?”
He replied, “It is that which I and my companions are upon.”
So he clearly identified the saved sect: those who hold firmly to his teachings and the way of his companions.
The same applies to the Jews and Christians: those who stuck to the original message of Moses and Jesus, and followed their disciples, would be the saved ones. However, this was before the coming of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Once he came, the only path to salvation was to follow him.
“By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is no one from this Ummah—whether Jew or Christian—who hears about me and then dies without believing in what I was sent with, except that he will be among the people of the Fire.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
You're free to mock this, Malik and his friends, but wait until you die first.
So, yes, Muslims who abandon the path and traditions of the Prophet ﷺ and his companions will enter the Fire, based on the extent of their deviation and disobedience. The punishment in the hell is darakaat - top down, while the rewards in the Jannah is darajaat - down to top.
But here's a critical belief in Islam:
“Whoever sincerely believes in Lā ilāha illa Allāh will not dwell forever in Hell.”
(Recorded by Aḥmad)
So, those Muslims who derailed from the Prophet’s teachings without becoming apostates like you, will, by the will of Allah, eventually enter Paradise after purification.
You should know that the Prophet did foretell the emergency of some particular Muslim sects, unless you're being your usual mischievous self.
“A people will emerge among you whose prayer will make your prayer seem insignificant, and whose fasting will make your fasting seem insignificant. They will recite the Qur’ān but it will not go beyond their throats. They will exit the religion like an arrow passes through the prey…”
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3610, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1066)
These are the Khawārij.
“The Khawārij are the dogs of Hell.” (Sunan Ibn Mājah, 173)
“There will be in my Ummah people who will deny Qadar (Divine Decree).” (Sunan Abī Dāwūd)
“The Qadariyyah are the Magians of this Ummah.” (Sunan Abī Dāwūd 4693)
“Soon, a man will be reclining on his couch, full and satisfied, saying: ‘Hold on to the Qurʾān; whatever you find permissible in it, take it as permissible; and whatever you find forbidden in it, take it as forbidden’ (while rejecting the Sunnah).” (Sunan Abī Dāwūd 4604, Musnad Aḥmad)
These are the Qurʾāniyyah, those who reject the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
Division is part of human nature.
No idea or religion is free from internal division. Even you atheists and agnostics are split over your ever-changing philosophies and jargons.
Shall we also speak of Christian denominations? I'm almost certain that no two Christians in your audience even go to the same church. I challenge them to prove me wrong.
In fact, you should give Muslims some credit, we still strive to maintain unity. We face the same direction in prayer, pray the same number of daily prayers, fast the same month, and perform the same Ḥajj, we read the same Qur'aan, etc.
A Christian may even ask “Where’s the division in Islam?” It’s mainly in how people carry out these acts of worship. Some Muslims added unnecessary details or omitted essential ones.
Islam demands full adherence to its laws and teachings. That’s why it has remained preserved for 1447 years.
We do not tolerate the slightest innovation in the religion. Don’t add. Don’t subtract. Don’t redesign. Leave the it as it is.
Give us the deserved credit, young man.
