A Rejoinder to the Barking Dog Abu Mazeedatilkhayr Bn Sa'eed
The Muslim Brotherhood was formed in 1928 but it only came in contact with Saudi Arabia in the 1950s when many Egyptians were recruited to work in Saudi Arabia.
FACT 1:
For many of the Brotherhood , it was an opportunity to flee Egypt where the ruling elite was planning to eliminate them as a result of their power tussle tendencies whereas, for Saudis, they were merely teachers who would provide formal education for their young people. Simply put, many of them were asylum seekers that fed fat on the larges and mercy of Saudi Arabia and even other Arab countries !!!
As the number of Egyptian teachers who supported the Muslim Brotherhood grew, they sought to organise themselves and set up a branch or at least an offshoot to help them set their agenda in the kingdom. However the kingdom authority bluntly refused this proposal by using their antecedents in Egypt as one of the reasons. King Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz, who ruled from 1964 to 1975, reportedly explained the refusal by telling the Muslim Brotherhood:
“All Saudis are Muslims and as such they do not need an organisation to spread Islamic ideology.”
FACT 2:
The Muslim Brotherhood sought to put their political machine in place in Saudi Arabia but the authority then, bluntly refused them unequivocally. Sensing danger in the usual snakish manners that they were known for all over, including your own Abu Mazeedatilkhayr (One of the founders of Jamaa’atu Tahreer that later metamorphosed due to money, women & power tussles into“ The Islamic Movement) !!
The Brotherhood got the message loud and clear from the kingdom authority and stuck to its limits. However, it resulted to secret influence of the locals and especially innocent students who were mostly under the direct tutelage of its members in various higher institutions of learning. After several years of secret penetrations of the nooks and crannies of the Saudi society through the concerted efforts of Muhammad Suruur and Manaa’ Bn Khaleel Al-Qattaan (both whom later became adversaries due to power tussle), they began to seek a more decisive status that would empower them to influence Saudi society.
Their effrontery sparked the anger of Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz, the interior minister, who in 2002, became highly critical of their attitudes and vocally shared his suspicion of their tendency to “politicise Islam for self-serving purposes”. He was quoted by Kuwaiti daily to have said:
“When matters became extremely difficult for them and gallows were readied for them in their home countries, they came to the [Saudi] kingdom that looked after them, took care of them, preserved their dignity and made them feel safe. After some time, they wanted to work and we helped them by opening the schools and the universities, but they unfortunately revived their past links and started recruiting people and founding movements. They turned against the kingdom. They should not have hurt the kingdom.”
FACT 3:
The Saudi Arabia authority opened all doors of opportunities for the Muslim Brotherhood in her society including cooperating with them for the betterment of the kingdom in all fronts . However, when its became rooted in the kingdom through several skirmish, its began to plot the take over of the kingdom and other Arab countries through the machineries of Sahwah Al Islamiyyah ( Islamic awakening) and lately the hijacking the evil Arab spring!!!
