The Messenger of Allaah (ï·º) said on the authority of Abu Hurairah - radiyallaahu an'hu:
يتقارب٠الزَّمان٠وينقÙص٠العÙلمÙØŒ وتَظهَر٠الÙÙتَنÙØŒ ويÙلقى الشّÙØÙ‘ÙØŒ ويَكثÙر٠الهَرْجÙØŒ قيل: يا رسولَ اللهÙØŒ أَيّه هو؟ قال: القَتْل٠القَتْلÙ
'(Before the coming of the Hour) seasons shall become closer, knowledge shall reduce (in the version of Bukhaaree: there shall be less action), tribulations shall become commonplace, there shall be widespread avarice, and there shall be har'j.'
They said: 'O Messenger of Allaah, what is har'j?'
He (ï·º) said: 'Killing! Killing!'
