The reality was that the Sufi masters indeed worked and made efforts that was felt in the continent and they did call people to something, except that the thing which they called to was not Islam in its true essence and nature, and they are in most cases aware of this reality within their minds, though there may be some of them who are oblivious of this truth, who assumed they were doing something good.

The details of what is better (than Sufism) is known to whoever mingles with the group, moreover, some of those whom Allah granted repentance had affirmed this and they have repented and admitted that they weren’t upon anything (tangible) before repenting. We beseech Allah for ourselves and you to grant us soundness.

As for some of the worships they (people of Sufism) practice which conforms with the teachings of Islam and some of their hymns which they chant and intoxicate the naive and gullible ones with in their gatherings, and other things which they feign in the presence of the common folks from what is manifested in Islam, all of that is nothing but a spoon of honey in a cup full of deadly poison, so pay attention to it that you may be safe. And it is a common saying from time immemorial: “Ask the veteran, don’t ask the physician."
