Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah on How to Become A Complete Slave to Allaah

Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah - rahimahullahu - said:

'Whenever a slave has these two traits (in him): (When he is always) praising of Allaah and seeking forgiveness (from Him), his servitude to Allaah will become complete, he will increase in knowledge and eemaan, he will become humble and lower himself before his Lord. That is the complete servitude to Allaah.'

‏قال الإمام ابن تيمية - رحِمَهُ اللّٰه 
ومتى شَهِدَ العبد هذيْنِ الأمْريْنِ: الحمد،
والإستغفار، استقامت له العبودية،
وترقَّى في درجات المعرفة والإيمان
وتصاغرت إليه نفسه، وتواضع لربِّهِ،
وهذا هو كمالُ العبودية.
